Microsoft Windows "DirectWrite" API Denial of Service

Microsoft Windows is exposed to a remote denial of service issue because the "DirectWrite" API incorrectly renders a specially crafted sequence of Unicode characters in memory. See reference for detailed information. All supported editions of Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008 (except Windows Server 2008 for Itanium-based Systems), Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 are affected.
