First 1TB portable hardware encrypted drive

Origin Storage launched their 1TB and 750GB Data Locker. The data on the drive is secured by AES hardware encryption and a 6-18 digit PIN number which is entered directly on the device itself.


The Data Locker offers state of the art features which include:

• Brute force attack detect / self destruct
• One touch drive erase for rapid re-deployment
• Hardware based malware detection / deflection
• Random keypad to prevent shoulder hacking
• 100% platform independent security and authentication
• Military grade AES encryption (CBC mode)
• Zero footprint and no pop-up password entry screens.

In addition to the 1TB and 750GB, Data Locker is available in 320GB, 500GB and 750GB editions.

Three different levels of security are available:

Data Locker Personal: Consumer and Education (only in 160GB, 320GB and 500GB).
Data Locker Pro AES: Corporate and Local Government.
Data Locker Enterprise: Military and transportation of mission critical data.
