Third annual RSA Conference in Europe addresses critical e-Security issues facing business, government & consumers
· Call for Papers produces record submissions
· Early Bird registration available until 28th June
· English-French simultaneous translation in all Tracks & General Sessions

BRACKNELL, United Kingdom, June 6, 2002 — Organisers of the annual RSA Conference in Europe today announced that the RSA® Conference 2002, Europe will be held on 7-10 October 2002 at Le Palais des Congrès in Paris.

This third annual e-security conference and exposition in Europe is modelled on the US-based RSA Conference, the world's largest security event, which attracted more than 10,000 attendees in February 2002.

The conference and exposition will feature more than 60 vendors, including major sponsors Microsoft, RSA Security, KPMG, Cisco, Schlumberger and Internet Security Systems. It will deliver keynote presentations - simultaneously translated into French - from industry leaders and international policy-makers, plus more than 85 individual breakout sessions on topics ranging from the latest in enterprise and developer security to the most current implementations of secure electronic commerce.

The 2002 Call for Papers produced an unprecedented number of submissions. A record figure of more than 500 were received and reviewed by an independent panel comprising representatives from Microsoft, Bankgirocentralen (BGC), KPMG, Hobson Audley and RSA Security.

Stuart Okin, Chief Security Officer at Microsoft UK, remarks, "We are delighted to be involved with the security industry's premier event, both as a sponsor and contributor. The RSA Conference's expanded programme underlines the importance of security and how seriously it is being addressed by organisations. The debate has broadened to encompass issues such as access management and identity management, and the RSA Conference represents an invaluable forum for discussion and expert advice."

Optional tutorials and training sessions held on 7th October will provide attendees with the basics in enterprise and developer security, and lay the foundation for the week ahead.

Mark Reeves, vice president EMEA at RSA Security, comments, "Leaders in e-business, government and academia will come together in Paris to share their expertise on critical e-security issues. The RSA Conference will showcase leading edge e-security solutions and provide insight into how these can have a direct and measurable impact on increased e-business revenues. We are excited about helping professionals in the EMEA market continue their successful adoption of e-business solutions."
