Tri-modal biometrics solution from Neurotechnology
Neurotechnology has released new versions of the Software Development Kits for fingerprint, face, iris and multi-biometric identification.
The new MegaMatcher 3.0 SDK for large-scale AFIS and multi-biometric identification systems now provides a 40,000-per-second fingerprint matching speed. In addition, the new VeriEye 2.1 Standard SDK may now be used as an iris recognition add-on to MegaMatcher (which includes face and fingerprint modalities), enabling development of tri-modal biometric systems. Each of the new SDKs also support additional scanners and cameras.
Individual enhancements include:
- MegaMatcher 3.0 now has a 40,000-per-second fingerprint matching speed, and when using MegaMatcher Accelerator, matching speed increases to 10,000,000 fingerprints per second
- VeriFinger 6.1 makes available an SDK add-on that includes full support for ANSI/NIST-ITL 1-2007
- VeriEye 2.1 generates 1.5 to 2.0 times lower false rejection rate than the previous version.
The MegaMatcher fingerprint recognition algorithm has received NIST MINEX certification for use in the US Government Personal Identity Verification program fingerprint recognition applications. MegaMatcher supports BioAPI 2.0 and most other biometric industry standards. VeriFinger has received full NIST MINEX certification.
All components of MegaMatcher can be used on both Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems.
