True voice-grade site survey for wireless
AirMagnet announced the industry’s first true voice-grade site survey capability for wireless. This capability – made possible with new versions of AirMagnet Survey PRO and AirMagnet VoFi Analyzer PRO – enables organizations to efficiently deploy voice applications and instantly troubleshoot any voice-over-wireless issues on the network to ensure quality and performance.
The AirMagnet solution addresses these challenges, allowing network installers and IT staff to not only design and deploy the network at the start using AirMagnet’s built-in voice readiness verification system (now includes support for Cisco 7925 phones and Vocera communications badges), but also to perform real-world voice surveys on an ongoing basis. With these voice surveys, users can validate and plot the phone call quality, capacity and other voice-specific parameters at every location on a floor map, to help identify and minimize issues that may be causing low call quality.
AirMagnet Survey PRO empowers users with coverage maps built specifically for voice networks, including WiMOS (phone call quality), wireless Access Point’s voice capacity, channel utilization and phone data rate/retry rates. To address challenges with roaming, the fundamental requirement for any VoFi deployment, AirMagnet Survey PRO provides real-time roaming alerts and statistics for users while performing surveys, and also marks areas on the floor where phones tend to roam.
AirMagnet’s VoFi Analyzer is purpose-built for troubleshooting VoWLAN problems in the field. It enables staff to measure call quality in real-time and automatically detect and troubleshoot the sources of voice problems, even on fully encrypted wireless networks. It addresses all aspects of wireless voice and diagnoses issues rooted in the end-user’s phone, QoS problems, RF problems, WLAN problems and even wired network problems associated with voice over Wi-Fi. AirMagnet VoFi Analyzer provides additional integration with leading voice solutions from Cisco, Spectralink and Vocera for complete end-to-end call analysis.
The new versions of AirMagnet Survey PRO and AirMagnet VoFi Analyzer PRO are available now. The U.S. list price for AirMagnet Survey PRO is $3,695 and for AirMagnet VoFi Analyzer PRO is $4,995.
