A closer look at Tor privacy tool

Tor is a tool that can help you anonymize web browsing and publishing, instant messaging, IRC, SSH, and other applications that use the TCP protocol.

This is a graphical overview that shows the interface and functionality of Tor (through Vidalia interface).

Tor bandwidth usage shows the status of the incoming and outgoing traffic related to your Tor installation.



While Tor interface is pretty self explanatory, some users will be interested in further customizing the look and feel of Tor's windows.



Message Log carries on records of all the logged data.



There are further options for setting up an output logging file, as well as using some flashier images to highlight specific parts of the log.



Tor has a rudimentary configuration area that offers the possibility of turning off Vidalia graphical interface, changing the appearance and editing initial server settings.



A list of Tor servers around the globe withe information on the connections and even physical location of the Onion routers used in Tor network.
