Security threat to back-up systems

Companies are being urged to patch their data back-up systems against a number of security holes in the products of two market leading companies.

EMC has issued three patches for flaws in its NetWorker products, and code that takes advantage of a previously reported flaw in Veritas' NetBackup product has been publicly released on the internet.
