RFID poised for investment explosion

The adoption of RFID continues to gather momentum with spending on related hardware and software expected to skyrocket over the next five years, according to Gartner. The analyst forecasts that worldwide RFID spending is expected to total $504m in 2005, up 39 per cent from 2004, growing again to $751m in 2006 and reaching over $3bn by 2010.
