You lock the doors, you buy fire insurance, you protect yourself against virus attacks. All these are part of the modern world, unfortunately, and not likely to change anytime soon. The same goes for your preparations against any of the potential malware infestations. Do all the preparations so you'll never have a problem. Even if you do have a problem, you'll have fewer and less severe problems when you're properly protected from viruses, spyware, adware, and other types of software that can harm your computer.
