Telcos strive for better global security

Of the portion of company budgets given to information technology, an average of 13 percent was spent on security last year, compared with 9 percent in 2002, according to research by the Economist Intelligence Unit for AT&T to be published on Nov. 8. The report predicted that the proportion would rise to 15 percent over the next two years.
