Microsoft: keeping security friends close, enemies closer

Microsoft has ramped up its efforts to compete in the Windows security market, at the same time bringing many of its new competitors into an uneasy alliance. While this alliance will be greeted with caution by some security software players, it seems not participating is not really an option.
