Watch out for third-party systems when managing network security

Keeping up with spyware, key loggers, Trojans, exploits and other malicious software is challenge on its own. And even the best security efforts may be missing an entire class of susceptible systems: equipment maintained by third parties.

The situation is extremely common as it's easy to forget those add-ons tools for which IT isn't the primary caretaker.
