Phishing threatens online confidence

Phishing attacks have increased by 28 per cent in the past 12 months, according to research published this week.

The survey of 5,000 individuals in the US conducted by analyst Gartner, shows that phishing attacks are damaging confidence in online transactions, with many companies reporting a reduction in web-based sales.
