Banking on security

On the face of it banks face a conundrum when it comes to on-line security. The availability of Internet banking has led customers to expect bank account access anywhere, anytime but banks must constantly deal with security threats to their supporting IT and procedures. But does this conundrum really exist in such stark terms or is it a case of banks not keeping pace with technology?
