Internet hacker gets suspended jail term

Warakorn Widanai was found guilty of using the credit card account of another man, identified only as Akarapol, to spend 47,658.99 baht on two occasions to buy mobile phones in June 2001.

The account was held at the Siam Commercial Bank's branch in the medical faculty at Chiang Mai University.

Warakorn also ran up debts totalling 27,537.99 baht through four orders on the Internet during May and June last year, but the transaction was rejected because the credit line was insufficient.
