Grid computing can allow security threats

Security experts on Wednesday recommended that IT administrators clearly identify and understand the security risks associated with large-scale grid computing deployments.

During Ziff Davis Media's Enterprise Solutions Virtual Tradeshow, the pros and cons of grid computing and safe data storage took center stage, with panelists stressing the importance of using best practices to protect the confidentiality of information passed over corporate grid systems.

Chrome extension thwarts user profiling based on typing behavior

Infosec consultant Paul Moore came up with a working solution to thwart a type of behavioral profiling. The result is a Chrome extension called Keyboard Privacy, which prevents profiling of users by the way they type by randomizing the rate at which characters reach the DOM.
