Network to fight back against DoS attacks

A tech platform called the "Fingerprint Sharing Alliance," developed by Arbor Networks, automates communications among companies about denial-of-service attacks on network operations.

Although there has been informal -- that is, manual -- collaboration among firms in the past, largely based on personal relationships and/or e-mail exchanges, this is the first time a system has been automated to provide such data, says Danny McPherson, Arbor Networks director of business development.
