Make security business-orientated, says expert

Information security today is not about tackling the hacker question but using security models to create business value, according to KPMG risk advisory associate director Rob Goldberg.

Pushing secured data as a tangible asset to the business, he said, will not only raise the profile of information security to the company but create a business-orientated focus around information security for competitive advantage.

Chrome extension thwarts user profiling based on typing behavior

Infosec consultant Paul Moore came up with a working solution to thwart a type of behavioral profiling. The result is a Chrome extension called Keyboard Privacy, which prevents profiling of users by the way they type by randomizing the rate at which characters reach the DOM.
