Core freezes runtime at lock down to secure devices

Solidcore Embedded Solution is software that controls runtime by freezing the open source code on devices, enabling manufacturers to stop the code from being tampered with during production or in the field by unauthorized users. OEMs install Solidcore Embedded Solution on their devices just prior to production, essentially changing the open source code to proprietary code. This keeps out hackers, viruses, and the hapless end user without requiring continual virus updates and other security patches, says the company Solidcore.
