The open road: Samhain

Samhain is data integrity and alert system for single *nix hosts or large networks. It includes some features that make it ideal for multiple hosts, but it's also usable for a single host and not too difficult to set up.

Next month, I'll cover setting up Samhain on multiple hosts with a centralized log server to hold the Samhain logs for each system. For now, I'll focus on setting up Samhain and getting it running on a single host.
