Astaro breaks out new all-in-one security appliances

If you're one of the most acclaimed security software companies in the market, what do you do for an encore? If you're the Astaro Corporation, you follow up your software offerings with some all-in-one hardware products.

The Burlington, Massachusetts firm announced its Astaro Security Gateway line of network security appliances yesterday, which bundles its Astaro Security Linux platform on Intel-based rack-mountable appliances.

Chrome extension thwarts user profiling based on typing behavior

Infosec consultant Paul Moore came up with a working solution to thwart a type of behavioral profiling. The result is a Chrome extension called Keyboard Privacy, which prevents profiling of users by the way they type by randomizing the rate at which characters reach the DOM.
