SanDisk acquires Secure Flash developer

SanDisk Corp. said it has acquired MDRM, a privately held Israeli developer of technology for secure content distribution through flash memory cards.

Now called SanDisk Secure Content Solutions, Dan Harkabi, CEO and Gidi Elazar, CTO, founded MDRM in 2002. The companies have worked closely to adapt the SanDisk flash controller to create a version of SanDisk’s Cruzer USB flash drive.
