Examing the New Network+ certification
When discussing networking, there are two paths you can choose to traverse: theory and implementation. The theory of networking stays pretty much the same as it always has — the OSI model, for example, will always be seven layers, and TCP/IP will do roughly the same functions in four. Over time, however, the actual way in which networks are implemented changes. Sometimes these changes are slow, and at other times they come about at a fairly rapid rate.
