Computer security key to keeping attackers at bay

Protecting valuable information plays an important role for businesses and universities safeguarding against hackers, said Hal Berghel, director of the University of Nevada-Las Vegas School of Computer Science.

Berghel spoke Tuesday at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln as a part of National Computer Security Day. The daylong event, titled Nebraska Information Technology Security Day, marked the first time organizers offered the workshops to the entire state.
