Microsoft and IT security

Microsoft has come in for heavy criticism in recent years on the IT Security front, for obvious reasons. There are a vast number of Windows servers and PCs deployed in the corporate world and the Microsoft platforms have been the hackers’ primary target. However the problem doesn’t just belong to Microsoft. The reality is that the Internet has, by virtue of its rapid and fairly ad hoc expansion, created a huge playground for digital criminals and the digital criminals have created a loose network of their own, trading stolen information, software and various techniques for breaking in to systems.
