Microsoft previews Windows XP embedded with SP2

Microsoft announced the availability of a free technology preview for Windows XP Embedded with Service Pack 2 for download and testing.

"The enhancements in Windows XP Embedded with SP2 will give embedded developers, original equipment manufacturers, system integrators and independent software vendors access to the full range of technologies, features and applications available on the desktop," said Scott Horn, senior director of the Mobile and Embedded Devices Division at Microsoft.
