Some sites easy marks for hackers on the Web

There is an epidemic of graffiti on the Internet. The Web sites of Al-Jazeera and Madonna are among the thousands defaced during recent months.

According to mi2g, a British company, the number of vandalized sites is likely to reach more than 185,000 this year - more than double the number during 2002. These defacements occur when cybervandals replace existing Web pages with other material, such as political slogans or obscene messages.
