Symantec releases Norton Security for Mac
Symantec has released Norton Internet Security 3.0 for Macintosh. The software suite, scheduled to be available in June, now includes a parental control feature that blocks Web sites that are inappropriate for viewing by children.
Norton Internet Security 3.0 for Macintosh will also include the newest version of Norton AntiVirus 9.0 for Macintosh, which will have the ability to find and repair Windows-compatible viruses, offering users protection from the most common type of viruses and helping them to avoid infecting friends and colleagues.
Also included is Norton Personal Firewall 3.0 for Macintosh to block inbound and outbound Web traffic, and iClean by Aladdin Systems, for quick removal of cookies, cache and history files. Norton Internet Security 3.0 for Macintosh runs on Mac OS X and Mac OS 9 and is available for pre-order at www.SymantecStore.com for a retail price of $159.95 (Cdn).
