Wireless security grabs spotlight

Companies offering products to secure content stored on wireless devices are out in force at this year's RSA Security Conference, underscoring companies' increased urgency in addressing the security threats posed by mobile workers.

Security technology for mobile devices is running the gamut from hardware appliances that lock down wireless networks to secure personal identification number and virtual private network software targeted at cellular phones and handheld personal digital assistants.

The conference has included lively panels, numerous product introductions, and discussion of security trends.
