ISS Revises Security Incident Numbers

Internet Security Systems on Monday revised its take on the increase in security incidents and attacks to account for an error introduced in a report TechWeb reported last Friday.

The jump in incidents and attacks during the first quarter of 2003 was only 36.6 percent over the previous quarter, not the staggering 84 percent the company originally stated in its report, said ISS spokesperson Jaclyn Saccone in an e-mail to TechWeb.
