Sun, RSA team on digital identity

Sun and RSA Security said Thursday they plan to deliver an integrated network-identity platform that will give enterprises everything they need to manage access and profiles internally and across the Web.

The two vendors will work together on sales, engineering, and marketing, focusing on interoperability between the RSA ClearTrust Web access-management and Keon digital-certificate platforms, as well as the Sun ONE Directory and Portal servers. Among the work are plans to port RSA's technologies to directly run on the Sun ONE Application Server, which serves as the underlying platform for all of Sun's identity applications.
