Mythbusting: Secure code is less expensive to develop

Conventional wisdom says developing secure software from the beginning is less expensive in the long run.

The elephant in the room is vulnerabilities are NOT the same as functional problems and the quote from the aforementioned article references research from 1987. Thatís pre-World Wide Web! Data predating C#, Java, Ruby, PHP, and even Perl - certainly reason enough to question its applicability in todayís landscape.
