Spammers try some ad-ons

Spammers have backed away, at least temporarily, from exploiting images to circumvent email filters following a massive spike earlier this year in use of the strategy of embedding text in picture files.

However, internet security firm Marshal also reports that spammers are becoming increasingly capable in the use of pictures and are now trying to emulate advertising campaigns.

Chrome extension thwarts user profiling based on typing behavior

Infosec consultant Paul Moore came up with a working solution to thwart a type of behavioral profiling. The result is a Chrome extension called Keyboard Privacy, which prevents profiling of users by the way they type by randomizing the rate at which characters reach the DOM.
