Possible DoubleClick Sale raises privacy concerns

To what extent would the acquisition of DoubleClick's vast ad-serving network be integrated into the Microsoft or Google network? One privacy expert said that he had no reason to believe that either Microsoft or Google would try to amass individual user profiles on the basis of surfing habits and cookies, but DoubleClick's technology would make that possible.
