The verdict on Vista security: a mixed bag

Microsoft contends that Windows Vista is its most secure operating system to date. It’s a audacious claim, to be sure, but there just might be something to it, too. According to Symantec’s Advanced Threat Research (ATR) team, Windows Vista does deliver tangible security improvements—although Vista itself is still far from invulnerable, Symantec researchers stress.
