Have you run across those people who are experts in their field and feel the need to let everyone else know when they are wrong? This is the type of person who constantly is on the defensive, ready to pounce at the slightest hint of ignorance (ignorance is not necessarily a bad term - it is often simply the absence of knowledge). I'm sure you have, as have I. And honestly, these types of people often hurt their field more than they know.
