Myths and misconceptions about security

No security strategy can succeed without a hefty dose of information. Yet ironically, information can also place an enterprise at risk because the security sector is teeming with myths and misconceptions that are readily accepted as legitimate security practices. Buying into those practices can eventually lead to a snowball effect that will weaken other areas in an enterprise that were previously secure.
