The FAQs are written in the hope that Internet users all over the globe will learn more about the dangers of computers today, and learn not only about the virtual world we live in - but how to keep ahead of the dangers. The single key factor to being secure and understanding computer security is to understand what the attackers are thinking...and these FAQs will do just that.

The latest release, volume 9, explains a number of hot topics at the moment, including "What are SUID Binaries and why are they dangerous?", and "Decrypting Trillian Passwords" to name a few.

Chrome extension thwarts user profiling based on typing behavior

Infosec consultant Paul Moore came up with a working solution to thwart a type of behavioral profiling. The result is a Chrome extension called Keyboard Privacy, which prevents profiling of users by the way they type by randomizing the rate at which characters reach the DOM.
