Hackers actively exploiting IE's VML flaw

Security experts have warned of a sharp hike in the number of cyber criminals actively exploiting the newly discovered VML vulnerability in Microsoft's Internet Explorer browser.

"More and more sites are being discovered to be using this exploit code," said McAfee Avert Labs virus researcher Craig Schmugar.

The code redirects visitors to another URL where the Fiesta exploit kit is hosted, which then tries to detect and exploit several vulnerabilities in various software. If it succeeds, the visitors are saddled with a banking Trojan.
