Avoiding the knee-jerk approach to security

Cybercrime is growing exponentially, and businesses will have to adopt a priority-based approach if they are to implement effective protection technologies.

Alvin Tan, strategic account manager, South East Asia, McAfee, noted that there are about 2,000 potentially malicious threats emerging each month, largely due to the growing number of bots. Two years ago, the number stood at about 300.
