Security through RAID on Mac OS X
I always thought it would be nice to have a “key” to a computer, or a hard drive, and unless you encrypt your drive anyone can mount it on a different computer and pull data off of it. While my method will probably won’t work so great against the government, it should against parents/siblings/school staff.
For a little background info, RAID stands for Redundant Array of Independent Disks (or sometimes Inexpensive for the I). For our purposes we will use RAID level 0, or a striped array, for the more secure method. We will also use a concatenated array to get the most out of the array.
