Nokia injects security services into new appliance

Finland's Nokia Corp., best known for its mobile phones, also makes security devices, including a new product that bundles a range of multiple security services.

Under the term UTM, Nokia has integrated several security services, including firewall, IPSec VPN, SSL VPN, antivirus and intrusion prevention, into a new security appliance, the Nokia IP390 Firewall/VPN appliance, the company said earlier this week. The device is the first to support a bundle of security services that Nokia calls its Check Point VPN-1 UTM package.
