Big firms neglect security: survey

IT security remains a cottage industry, according to Information Security Magazine's annual survey.

"In many ways, IT security is still trying to gain a foothold in the day-to-day activities that govern an organisation's operations and culture," author Andrew Briney said.

"As organisations get larger, their security departments aren't keeping up."

The survey is the fifth annual review by Information Security, a division of TruSecure.

This year the survey, for the first time, benchmarks critical trends and practices according to the size of organisations.
