"There is a real threat here," according to John Palfrey, co-director of the Stop Badware Coalition and professor of law at Harvard. Palfrey cited a Consumer Reports survey indicating that 30 percent of consumers are turning away from the Internet due to the threats from badware. "The time is right for us to be one of several solutions."
