Web, email abuse leads to security breaches

Lax control over Internet use and emails by UK companies is leading to security breaches, with the problem second only to viruses, according to a survey led by PricewaterhouseCoopers.

The DTI's biennial Information Security Breaches Survey showed that over a third of UK companies has no policy on Internet use, and a fifth of firms have suffered some some form of security breach as a result.
