The results of a survey conducted by Braun Research on behalf of IBM indicate that cybercrime might have eclipsed physical crime when it comes to the business context.

The survey found that 60 percent of U.S. businesses believe cybercrime to be more costly than its real-world counterpart and cite "lost revenue [a concern for 63 percent of U.S. respondents], loss of current and prospective customers [56 percent] and loss of employee productivity" as consequences.
