Physical security used more on IP networks

IT directors are increasingly looking to install physical security such as biometrics and card readers to protect their IP networks.

A survey of 100 companies conducted by Vanson Bourne for IT service provider Comunica reveals 64% of users have already adopted or plan to adopt physical security over IP networks in 2006.

Chrome extension thwarts user profiling based on typing behavior

Infosec consultant Paul Moore came up with a working solution to thwart a type of behavioral profiling. The result is a Chrome extension called Keyboard Privacy, which prevents profiling of users by the way they type by randomizing the rate at which characters reach the DOM.
