IT security still under funded

According to a new survey, companies of all shapes and sizes are not doing enough when it comes to securing their IT infrastructures but mid-size firms are out-spending their larger and smaller brethren by 20%.

"I think that we all know that IT security is a hot topic but that doesn't necessarily translate into a willingness on the part of management to fund anything that has the IT security label," said Frank Scavo, president of Computer Economics, which conducted the survey.
