Secure On the Net will bring together key government representatives from the Congress, Department of Homeland Security, Federal Trade Commission and Federal Government, as well as leading Internet industry representatives to explore the most effective approaches and solutions to Internet security. The conference will address what the government can, should, will do to protect the integrity of the Internet and the assets connected to it. The conference will explore ongoing efforts to establish a national methodology for cybersecurity, and the roles that institutions and private citizens will play in meeting security needs. This timely conference will:

- Present the latest information on the state of Internet security
- Predict the problems we will face three to five years from now
- Outline the existing resources and partnerships in use to protect the critical infrastructure
- Evaluate the relative threat to businesses and Internet providers
- Assess the current state-of-the-art in Internet security solutions
- Debate the government's cybersecurity, including proposals now before Congress
