SANS Amsterdam 2003

Date: 27 October-1 November 2003
Location: Hilton Amsterdam, Amsterdam, Netherlands
Organizer: SANS
Homepage: http://www.sans.org/amsterdam03/

This conference will feature three excellent SANS programs: SANS Security Essentials Bootcamp and the CISSP 10 Domains (Track 1), Firewalls, Perimeter Protection and VPNs (Track 2), and Hacker Techniques, Exploits, and Incident Handling (Track 4). All three tracks are filled with critical information you need to know to achieve your organizationís information security objectives.

You can also use SANS Amsterdam 2003 as the starting point for getting certified. The GIAC program offers you the opportunity to demonstrate your knowledge and competency in basic and advanced technical subject areas. Track 1 students will be prepared for either the GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC) or the ISC(2) CISSP certification. Track 2 students will be prepared for the GIAC Certified Firewall Analyst (GCFW) certification. Track 4 students will be prepared for the GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) certification.

Many European news sources are reporting that unlike other parts of the information technology marketplace, IT security
spending is on the rise. Does spending more on security products and services actually mean that government and industry are increasing their information security? SANS conferences provide the information you need to assess your risks, formulate a plan of action, and then have a positive effect on your organizationís information security.
